Vienna (IP) - Iran's top negotiator and Deputy EU Foreign Policy Chief held a meeting and resumed negotiations to pursue Vienna talks.

Iran PressEurope: Arriving in Vienna on Wednesday morning, Iran's Ali Bagheri met and talked with Enrique Mora.

Ali Bagheri returned to Tehran on Tuesday morning to consultations and returned to Vienna on Wednesday morning to resume talks over lifting the sanctions under the JCPOA.

Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.

The eighth round of sanctions talks begun in Vienna on December 27 is ongoing in Vienna, after a short break, this time without the US and but between Iran and the P4+1 group.

Nevertheless, in the present negotiations, Iran has not limited its interactions with Western parties while following up interaction with other countries.

Iran pursues to preserve both its interest and its nuclear infrastructure.

Expert meetings and informal consultations were held in Vienna today.
