Spain (IP) - Iran and Spain signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a plan to develop olive cultivation in Iran.

Iran PressEurope:  Iran's Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mohammad Mehdi Borumandi, met with the Chairman of the International Olive Council (OIC) Abdul Latif Ghadira on Friday in Madrid, Spain.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the implementation of past joint projects. They emphasized the implementation of plans of OIC for cooperation with the Agriculture Ministry of Iran for the development of olive cultivation in Iran.

The main headquarters of IOC is in Madrid, Spain, and includes Algeria, Croatia, the European Union, Egypt, Iran, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Monaco, Morocco, Serbia and Montenegro, Syria, and Tunisia as member states.
