Beirut (IP) – During his visit to Beirut, the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili met with the Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister Najib Mikati.

During the meeting on Monday, Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili stated that the Iranian administration has extensive plans to expand cultural interactions in the region.

He noted that Lebanon is the first destination of cultural diplomacy for Iran due to its friendship and long cultural and civilizational history with the Islamic Republic.

Esmaili also pointed out that holding the Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon could mark a new chapter in the cultural relations between the two countries.

Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance has headed a delegation to Lebanon to participate in Iran's Cultural Week.

The Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran is held in Lebanon to expand and deepen the cultural and artistic relations and exchanges of the countries and introduce and disseminate Iran's history.
