Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization announced the development of Iran-Qatar cooperation in the aviation industry by increasing passenger and cargo flights, especially in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Iran PressIran news: According to the public relations of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, Captain Mohammadi-Bakhsh, Deputy Minister and Head of the Civil Aviation Organization stated: "Following President Raisi's talks with the Emir of Qatar, as well as the Minister of Roads and Urban Development with the Qatari Minister of Transport, we had meetings with Qatar Airways."

"In these meetings, the development of bilateral cooperation and the increase of passenger and cargo flights between the two countries were emphasized. Based on this, it was decided that in the first phase, 36 passenger and cargo flights will be operated bilaterally every week without any restrictions," he added.

He also said thatIran and Qatar have reached an on increasing flights and using the facilities of Iran's aviation and tourism industry to help Qatar during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
