Beirut (IP) - Lebanon's Hezbollah secretary-general delivered a speech on the occasion of Hezbollah martyred leaders’ anniversary on Wednesday.

Iran PressMiddle East: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Resistance as an ideology, culture, and civilization in the region existed before the 1982 invasion. There had been Lebanese factions and parties that believed in Resistance, among them were Sayyed Abdul Hussein Sharafeddine and Sayyed Musa Sadr.

The Israeli regime waged its first war on Lebanon on June 6, 1982, when the Israeli forces invaded the southern part of the country.

Sayyed Nasrallah said 1982 was the year of deciding to give birth to Hezbollah, the progress of which was lasting until today due to the sacrifices of its martyrs.

He exampled Martyr Imad Mughniyeh, describing him as "the act of resistance, its battlefield, victory, changing the equations, and smashing the enemy."

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah pointed out: "The Resistance follows the footsteps of the martyred leaders to face the enemy’s greed; it protects Lebanon and supports Palestine. The Resistance will keep its pledge despite all conspiracies and lobbying."

2nd 'Ansariya Operation' might be imminent

Lebanon's Hezbollah secretary-general says when the enemy dares to carry out an offensive to search for Hezbollah missiles, a second 'Ansariya Operation' might be imminent.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said: “When the enemy dares to carry out an offensive to search for our missiles, we might be facing a second ‘Ansariya Operation’.”

Implying Hezbollah’s military might, Nasrallah stated that Hezbollah had started in the past years to manufacture drones, adding: “Those who want to purchase some are welcome!”

Further in his speech, Nasrallah underlined: “Those who are accusing us of delaying the Lebanese parliamentary elections seem to be the ones who really want this delay.”

Hezbollah secretary-general noted that Hezbollah supports holding the parliamentary elections on time, and considers those elections very critical.

“Hezbollah’s official slogan for the elections is ‘We’ll Keep Defending and Building [our country], and we emphasize that we will keep doing this’; We will keep defending and building our country through the golden equation of Army, People, and Resistance, and we insist on the Lebanese Army’s role,” Nasrallah said.

Hezbollah secretary-general pointed out that after failing in their wars, the enemies are attempting to target the people embracing the resistance, yet the paid campaigns will fail since the logic of resistance is stronger and more credible; the enemy attempt to lobby against the resistance by economic hardships and luring people to abandon the resistance.

Nasrallah reiterated that Hezbollah preserves Lebanon’s identity provided by the Constitution, atop of which is the freedom of press and expression.

Some in region imagine Israel lasts

Some in Lebanon and the region imagine that Israel will remain so that they normalize ties with it, but the Resistance fronts in the region believe that the regime is declining, says Hezbollah Secretary-General.

In a speech on the occasion of Hezbollah Martyr Leaders' anniversary, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the descending curve of the occupation started in 1985 when the Resistance forced it to withdraw to the so-called "security belt" in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli regime waged its first war on Lebanon on June 6, 1982, when the Israeli forces invaded the southern part of the country. In June 1985, the IDF unilaterally withdrew to a security zone in south Lebanon.

Sayyed Nasrallah said on Wednesday: "We are in front of an entity which is in crisis, declining, and so is its army."

He referred to some states normalized ties with the Israeli regime and sent it their cash to bring it to life again:"Some Arab state were requested to normalize ties with the occupation entity to help it solve its crises."

On Tuesday, the Israeli regime's Prime Minister Naftali Benet met with the Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifeh in Manama's royal palace.

He also had a meeting with a number of the Bahraini ministers at the palace.

The Deputy Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Movement said on Wednesday that the Bahraini rulers were wrong if they imagined that they could benefit from the normalization of ties with Tel Aviv.
