Tehran (IP) – The closing ceremony of the seventh edition of the International Arbaeen Award was held on Wednesday at Tehran's Islamic Culture and Communication Organization.

Iran PressIran News: The International Arbaeen Award is a cultural-religious program initiated by the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization every year to spread the culture of resistance and Ashura and show manifestations of affection for Imam Hussain (AS).

The first edition of this artistic event was held in 2014, and this year the closing of the seventh edition has been held at Islamic Culture and Communication Organization's Al-Zahra Hussainiya.

International Arbaeen Award winners began their work by thanking the owners of the selected photos of the Arbaeen Grand March. Then identifying the film, memory, and top activity in cyberspace was on the secretariat's agenda. In the seventh edition, the identification of the best book on Arbaeen was decided to be added to the award nominees.

Simultaneously with the closing ceremony of the 7th edition International Arbaeen Award, the call for the 8th edition of this award will be unveiled in order to appreciate the bests in the presence of officials and cultural figures. The exhibition of selected photos and books was one of the side events.

The most important achievement of holding this international event is the participation of many Arbaeen marchers worldwide, which shows the spiritual and cultural influence of the Ashura epic in different parts of the world. So far, about 4,800 works have been sent by the interested people.
