Vienna (IP) – Russian permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna stated that timing shouldn’t be the major factor to define an outcome of the negotiations on the future of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran PressEurope: In his Twitter account, Russian Representative to the Vienna Talks, Mikhail Ulyanov noted: "Timing depends on participants of the Vienna Talks, doesn’t it? Under the circumstances timing is very important but it shouldn’t be the major factor which defines an outcome of the negotiations on the future of JCPOA. If necessary, the negotiators must expedite their work."

He made the remarks in response to a Wall Street Journal reporter;

Laurence Norman had tweeted: "Senior EU official says he believes the Iran Talks are 'on the right track for a final agreement' in terms of substance but his fear is talks moving too slowly. 'I think it would be very, very, very, very tragic and it would be an incredible mistake that because of timing, we couldn't get to a good agreement, a good solution. Still, I think that we will have an agreement here and I think that it will be sooner than later,' the official says. On interim deal. 'I wouldn’t see any benefit on this unless, unless' there's no deal in next few weeks 'and then it would be very helpful for the negotiation that the Iranians stop the nuclear program, but they would stop only for a very limited period of time because the Americans will not stop imposing sanctions. So again, I don’t think an interim agreement is something that is now on the table."
