Qatar (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister says the Islamic Republic is the benevolent party in the West Asian region's developments.

Iran PressMiddle East: On the sidelines of his meeting with the Emir of Qatar on Tuesday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told the reporters that the Islamic Republic of Iran had always played a central and constructive role in regional issues including in the fight against ISIS. 

Amir-Abdollahian stressed that the region's issues must not be dealt with through militarism and a hegemonic approach. 

Ha said: "Iran has always announced its readiness in this regard and has provided ideas and solutions for talks leading to cooperation in the Persian Gulf region. The Emir of Qatar has always welcomed the ideas of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

The Iranian foreign minister also referred to the Vienna talks on the JCPOA and noted that Iran would notify his regional friend about its talks with the P4+1 group, for it believes that it was their right to be aware of the status quo of the negotiations. 

Iran believes that the peaceful achievements of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program could be shared with all neighboring countries, he said. 

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Qatar's Doha on Tuesday to have talks with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. 

The eighth round of talks between Iran and the P4 + 1 group countries on the JCPOA began on Monday evening in Vienna to pursue the lifting of sanctions on Iran and review the country's proposals for the relevant verifications. 

With the first days of the 7th round of the negotiations, the Western party withdrew from rejecting all of Iran's demands and proposals, thus recognizing the Iranian party's demands, the European side agreed to replace the so-called 'June 20 draft' with a text that included the main demands of Iran.
