JCPOA

Tehran (IP) - In response to a statement by the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council member states, Iran's Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the JCPOA was none of Saudi Arabia's business.

Iran Press/Iran News: Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Thursday that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was an agreement between Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, which was once negotiated and sealed.

"As the issues of our region are not related to the trans-regional countries, the Saudi regime's attempt to include the council in issues that are fundamentally irrelevant to it, is fruitless and only portraits an illusory image of this country before the world," Khatibzadeh said.

He pointed out that some of the council member states should be held accountable for their making large military purchases, hosting foreign bases, opening the door to the Israeli regime, and betraying the Palestinian cause.
