New Delhi (IP) – Iran's ambassador to New Delhi announced the release of four Iranians detained in the Bangalore Central Jail, India.

Iran press/Asia: Ali Chegini said this was the second group of Iranian detainees to be released and returned to Iran in the past month.

The four Iranians were detained in the Bangalore Central Jail, following the continuous efforts and pursuit of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi and Iran's Consulate General in Hyderabad and the cooperation of Indian authorities, they returned to Iran.

Earlier, 15 Iranian fishermen detained in India for entering Indian waters illegally returned to Iran after a year.
