Iran, Azerbaijan economic exchanges still active despite COVID-19

Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Chamber of Commerce said that trade between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, despite the spread of coronavirus, is still active and has never stopped.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Pir Moazen in the webinar of trade opportunities and capacities between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan stated: "During the coronavirus pandemic, the only customs that was active 24 hours a day and trade was never stopped in it, was the customs of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan."

He added: "Most of the customs of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, including Bileh Savar and Astara, have been operating 24 hours a day and the trade between the two countries has been positive during this period."

The head of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Chamber of Commerce talked about Iran's participation in the reconstruction of the areas affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh war, saying: "During the war, about 130 km of our joint border with the Republic of Azerbaijan was liberated and according to the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan’s report, this part turned into ruin and it is necessary to use Iran's technical and engineering capacity in the reconstruction of the region."
