Mashhad, gateway of Iranian products to Afganistan

Mashhad (IP) - The head of the Iran-Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce said that Khorasan and Herat are economically interdependent and called Mashhad the gateway of Iran's products to Afganistan.

Iran Press/Iran News: In the meeting of the heads of commissions and organizations of Mashhad Chamber of Commerce with the members of Afghanistan's Herat delegation in the center of the Khorasan Razavi Province, the head of the Iran-Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce, Mahmoud Siadat, called Khorasan as a gateway for Iran's products to Afghan market and said: "This coexistence and proximity is a fact that has the roots in history."

He said that one of the Afghan people's valuable characteristics is their pride and patriotism, which should be respected.

"Iran would provide Afghanistan with its experiences during the years of sanctions to solve their problems," Mahmoud Siadat added.

In November, the fifth round of talks on a comprehensive document on Iran-Afghanistan strategic cooperation aimed at reaching a comprehensive document on strategic cooperation was held in Tehran between delegations chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab.

This document covers the perspective of long-term relations between the two countries in the fields of politics, security, economy, culture, and issues related to the citizens of the two countries, as well as the issue of water.

According to Araghchi, an important document of strategic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan would be signed in the near future.
