Iran Press/ Europe: Maria Zakharova said in a statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website on Tuesday: "We are closely monitoring the situation regarding the Iranian side's actions at the Fordow nuclear site to resume uranium enrichment to 20%."
The official stated that all confirmed information in this regard would be obtained through the International Atomic Energy Agency, noting: International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors are supervising actions of Tehran, which informs the Agency in advance about the relevant programs and acts transparently and implement all formalities provided for in the Agency Safeguards Agreement.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said: "This issue has nothing to do with Iran's compliance with the JCPOA and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). In this regard, there is no fault on the part of the Iranian side.
"All enriched materials up to 20% are under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency," Zakharova said, noting that the Agency has not recorded or reported any evidence of its conversion for use for undeclared purposes to be inconsistent with the NP.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said: "In recent years, the international community has become fully aware of the fact that the primary reason for such deviations is the repeated and systematic violation of international obligations by the United States, which, in spite of Article 25 of the UN Charter, does not implement Resolution 2231 and purposefully creates obstacles for its implementation by other countries.
