Tehran (IP) - Head of the Iranian Parliament's Economic Commission says the parliament is planning for the development of free trade industrial zones by amending the previous law on the management of the zones.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of a meeting to address the issues of free zones in the country on Tuesday, Mohammadreza Pourebrahimi said: “The bill to amend the Law on the Administration of Free Trade Industrial Zones was recently announced in the parliament and its generalities were approved by the Economic Commission.”

"The parliament," he said, "is planning for the development of free trade industrial zones by transferring advanced knowledge and technologies, increase of income through exports instead of imports, increase incentives to attract foreign investment and facilitate and prosper economic activities."
