Syria (IP): The first anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was held in the Al-Bukamal area near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Iran PressIran News: According to Al-Mayadeen, thousands of residents and officials of the Al-Bukamal region attended the commemoration of the first anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).

Javad Torkabadi, the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, called Syria the pioneer in defending the axis of resistance and stressed that the crime of assassinating Martyr Soleimani will not go unanswered.

The Lebanese Al-Yawm website also wrote that residents of Al-Bukamal had put pictures of resistance martyrs on roofs of their homes and that many villagers in the area had entered Al-Bukamal to attend the ceremony.

Major General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis along with 8 others, were martyred on the morning of January 3, 2020, on the way to Baghdad airport, by the order of US President Donald Trump and its terrorist army.
