2 Saudi soldiers killed near Yemen border

Two Saudi soldiers were killed near the border with Yemen, in the Najran region in the south of the country, Saudi Arabia's state-run news agency announced without further information.

Iran Press/Middle East: Saudi Arabia's official SPA news agency said the soldiers were killed while on duty. Neither the ranks of the soldiers nor details on the time and circumstances of their deaths were revealed.

In retaliation for Saudi-led coalition attacks, Yemen's forces target Saudi Arabian troops by infiltrating the border occasionally, as well as missile attacks on the Saudi border cities of Najran and Jizan.

Earlier in November, Saudi Arabia announced that five soldiers were killed in Jizan.

With the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, Saudi Arabia has launched a military invasion of Yemen since March 2015 and a land, sea, and air siege.

Two months ago, the Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights released statistics on the Saudi coalition's crimes against Yemen from March 2015 to August 2020, confirming the deaths of 16,771 civilians and the wounding of 26,359 others.
