The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the Bahraini Minister of Trade and Industry's remarks about the country's intention to buy products from Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said on Thursday that Bahrain's trade minister's statement that his country would interact with the products of these settlements is a clear violation of international law.

He said that such statements by the Bahrainis show their downfall and their standing in the ranks of the occupiers against the Palestinians.

A Hamas spokesman called on the Bahraini people to press their government to abandon such "humiliating and anti-Palestinian" policies.

Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Bahrain's Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism, met with Israeli officials on Tuesday.

"Bahrain does not differentiate between Israeli products and those produced in the settlements in the West Bank, and will interact on the basis that these products are all Israeli."

After announcing that they have reached a deal with Israel,  on September 25 the UAE and Bahrain signed a normalization agreement in the White House in the presence of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 219
