Iran calls for immediate completion of Rasht-Astara railway

Iran's ambassador to Russia called for speeding up the Rasht-Astara railway construction, which connects Iran's economy to the east and the west.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Russia, at an online conference titled 'the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Geopolitical Role of Free Trade Zones in Development of Regional Relations', noted the high importance of the Eurasian Union in the global and regional economy and said: "Since Iran became a temporary member of EAEU a year ago, it has been agreed that 862 items will be exported and imported."

Iran's ambassador to Russia stated: "In the past year, Iran's exports to the Eurasian Union have increased by six percent."

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Geopolitical Role of Free Trade Zones in Development of Regional Relations were held today with Iranian and foreign officials' participation by following health instructions in Anzali, northern Iran.
