The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq and the British Ambassador to Baghdad met to discuss developments in Iraq and the region with the importance of cooperating with the Iraqi government.

Iran PressMiddle East: 'Iraj Masjedi', the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, and 'Stephen Hickey', the British Ambassador to Iraq, met today at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad.

During the meeting, the most important political developments in Iraq and the region were discussed and the significance of Tehran-London cooperation with the government of Iraq and also with Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi was also emphasized.

In this meeting, Iran's ambassador mentioned the necessity of the return of the United States of America to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and considered it a necessary step along with the US commitments.

The British ambassador also called on all parties to the agreement to fulfill the obligations set out in the JCPOA.

Masjedi also had a meeting with the Norwegian ambassador to Iraq at the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday.
