Iran takes seat in International Astronomical Union

The Islamic Republic of Iran took an official seat in the International Astronomical Union.

By obtaining a seat in the World Astronomical Union, the Islamic Republic of Iran is now among the pioneers in the field of astronomy besides countries such as Japan, the United States, Brazil, and Australia.

The International Astronomical Union is the primary reference for astronomical activities and decision-making in this field worldwide.
