Iran Press/ Iran News: In a meeting with the Secretary-General of Iraq's Nujaba Movement Sheikh Akram al-Ka'abi on Tuesday, Aliakbar Velayati said that the US is after the disintegration of Iraq, but the Iraqi nation will overcome the problems.
Velayati emphasized that the Iraqi youths, Hashd al-Sha'abi (Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU)), and other devoted groups defend the country with full power.
Sheikh Akram al-Ka'abi for his part referred to some plots to tarnish the Iraqi-Iranian ties, noting that some western countries led by the US are trying to throw a split in the deep ties between the two countries.
"Through the unification of the axis of resistance led by Iran, the region will be saved from the US and West's domination," he added. "The United States and its mercenaries try to destroy the relations between the two countries."
Referring to the Palestinian issue, the Iraqi movement leader stressed the support of the Palestinian causes and fight against the Israeli occupation regime and spare no efforts to the Palestinian people.
Also, he pointed to the Late Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, saying their martyrdom unified the Resistance Front much more than ever, with the seed of resistance cast in the region growing every day.
