The Iranian director Majid Majidi's film ‘The Sun’ won the Magic Lantern award at the Venice Film Festival.

Iran Press/Europe: ‘The Sun’ narrates the story of working children looking for treasure, but unaware that they are the treasure themselves.

The 77th Venice International Film Festival kicked off on September 2 in Italy under strict health protocols. In this festival, 18 films, including the movie ‘The Sun’ directed by Majid Majidi, compete for the Golden Lion Award.

The Venice International Film Festival ends today (Saturday).
