Tehran (IP)- Iranian students denounce Charlie Hebdo's insult to the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and called for France embassy to be closed.

Iran PressIran News: Students and different walks of life marched in condemnation of Charlie Hebdo magazine's insult to the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) on 9th September 2020 in front of France embassy in Tehran.

Taking into streets, students denounced the act by chanting slogans such as (Down with the US, US supports Macron to commit crimes, France embassy must be shut down, insulting holy prophet Muhammad is condemned.)

They read a statement saying that the world Resistance Movements hit the enemy.

The statement also read that the Muslims are aware of the enemy's policies so, won't be received.

"We gathered in front of France embassy to condemn what they did and ask France government to pursue its own affairs (Yellow Vests protests) instead of supporting the insult,  supporting ISIS, and sending contaminated blood to Iran", added the statement.

Those who took part in the rally have urged Iran's foreign ministry to follow up on the case in the international communities.

The French satirical magazine "Charlie Hebdo" has reprinted the same cartoons about Islam's Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Islam that prompted a deadly attack on the magazine in 2015.

Many people in the world denounced what Charlie Hebdo has published.

In France, people have expressed concern that the country is yielding to American-style identity politics, long widely rejected in France.
