Meeting with Zarif was productive, gracious: Indian Foreign Minister

Tehran(IP) - Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in his latest tweet released on Sunday called the meeting with Iranian counterpart as a productive event during a stopover in Tehran.

Iran PressAsia:  Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in his tweet appreciated his Iranian Counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif for his “gracious hospitality."

He said: “Discussing strengthening our bilateral cooperation and reviewed regional developments. Thank him for his gracious hospitality"

The Indian Foreign Minister arrived in Tehran before his trip to Russia to meet with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

His visit takes place after the unexpected visit of the Minister of Defense "Rajnat Singh" to Tehran on Monday and the meeting with Iran’s Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami.

The Indian Foreign Minister will stay in Tehran for a few hours and will leave for Moscow after consulting with Zarif to attend a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
