Tehran (IP)- Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Abbas Moqtadaei stated that the anti-Iranian positions and statements of the US presidential candidates were aimed at gaining the support of the Zionist lobbies.

Iran Press/Iran news: Abbas Moqtadaei said on Saturday about US efforts to restore sanctions on Iran: "Iran has always acted in accordance with international law, and Westerners know that Tehran has adhered to the JCPOA at various stages, and what the Americans are claiming today is a blatant exaggeration."

Moqtadaei noted that the Americans had withdrawn from the JCPOA in practice and could not claim to use the dispute mechanisms which were inserted in the agreement.

"Trump is trying to use anti-Iranian issues as an electoral shock and to make up his low popularity," the deputy chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission noted.

Referring to the internal situation in the United States and the role of the Zionists in the domestic political atmosphere of the United States, he said: "Each of the US candidates tries to show the Zionist lobby by opposing Iran that if they win, they will oppose Iran, which is futile and useless."
