Kerman (IP) - The Ambassador of Afghanistan to Tehran, Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, has said that his country will support Tehran in any situation.

Iran Press/Iran news: The ambassador also emphasized that improving trade relations between the two countries is on the agenda.

Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, who is visiting Kerman province, said at the Afghanistan-Kerman trade cooperation meeting on Saturday: "Afghanistan is moving towards peace and inter-Afghan talks and the establishment of a regional consensus for peace are among the priorities of diplomacy and foreign policy. Iran is at the forefront of this priority."

"Iran is in coordination with Kabul in order to preserve the Republic of Afghanistan and its constitution," Liwal added:

The ambassador of Afghanistan also emphasized on recognizing and introducing the economic capacities of the two countries and stated that facilitating the existing laws and regulations in both countries can open the way for investment opportunities in Iran and Afghanistan.

The Ambassador also met with Kerman Governor Mohammad Javad Fadai and said: "The comprehensive document on strategic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and transit is in the final stages."

Currently, 300,000 Afghans live in Kerman province.

Describing Kerman as an important province for Afghanistan in terms of hosting the largest number of immigrants, the Afghan Ambassador to Tehran hailed the working and living conditions of Afghans immigrants in Kerman.

He described this province as a beautiful and interesting place and hailed the hospitality of Kerman in his last year's visit to  Sirjan, Rafsanjan, copper mines, and pistachio orchards.

The envoy announced that all Afghan immigrants are satisfied with the working and living conditions in the province and they express satisfaction with the good cooperation of the Bureau for Foreign Immigrants Affairs in Kerman Province in their contacts with the Afghanistan embassy. 

Also, Mohammad Javad Fadaei the Governor of Kerman Province, for his part, referred to Iran and Afghanistan similarities in terms of religion, language and common borders, adding: "We have good relations with Afghanistan and I hope that with the opening of the Joint Chamber of the Kerman-Afghanistan,  more cooperations will be facilitated  and as a result, our trades and investments will be developed."

The governor of Kerman described the residence of Afghans in Iran as a bilateral issue, explaining that Kerman province is also ready to make investments in this neighboring country in order to meet some parts of its needs.   101/207
