Tehran (IP) - The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) announced the continuation of oil extraction in Iran despite unilateral and illegal sanctions and the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Iran PressIran News: Noting that the capacity of NISOC is 3,500 barrels per day, Ahmad Mohammadi said that 80 percent of the capacity mentioned is produced.  

Mohammadi noted that currently the oil needed by the Iranian refineries is produced in NISOC and despite all of the problems due to the outbreak of the coronavirus and sanctions, the production has not stopped even for a moment. 

The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) is the largest oil and gas company in Iran, which is active in the field of exploration, development, production, and transmission of crude oil and natural gas, as well as the production of gas condensate.

The company currently produces about 80 percent of Iran's oil and 16 percent of its gas.   207
