Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking at a press conference on Sunday morning on the occasion of Defense Industry Day, Brigadier General Amir Hatami stated: “We are facing deep, rapid changes in the international system and the region and if someone stays away from the developments, it may have lasting effects on his country and system for a long time.”
Stating that the media play a special role in these transitional conditions, the minister of defense added: "The enemy's media tries to influence public opinion.”
Referring to what happened in the region, Gen. Hatami stated: "On the day the developments happened in Syria and then Iraq, these media and their supporters pretended that the terrorists who came to the region and the violent terrorists who gathered from all over the world, came to the region to save humanity and the people.”
“But over time, it became clear what hostile plans they had for our region,” he added.
