The Former Head of the Saudi Intelligence Service Saad al-Jabri (R) and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (L)

The former head of the Saudi Intelligence Service says the Saudi crown prince intended to murder him in 2018 by sending an assassination team to Canada, in the same manner the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered.

Iran PressAmerica: Saad al-Jabri has filed a lawsuit against Mohammed bin Salman in October 2018, saying that the Saudi Crown Prince sent a team to Canada to kill him.

The assassination team was accompanied by people close to MBS, and a person familiar with how to clear the crime scene was with the group.

The incident came a week after Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered by Saudi mercenaries at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi's murder in November 2018, which was carried out on the direct orders of Mohammad bin Salman, sparked widespread global pressure against the Saudi government and the Crown Prince.

Backed by the US, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman denied responsibility for Khashoggi's murder.
