Iranian industrial towns attracks $2.1 billion foreign investments by mid March

Tehran (IP) - A review of official statistics published by the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade shows that 231 foreign investors have been attracted a total of 2 billion and 100 million dollars invested in towns and industrial zones by the end of March 19, 2020.

Iran PressIran news: This amount of investment led to the creation of 19,862 jobs in towns and industrial areas.

According to these statistics, which show the record of support programs for small and medium industries by the end of March 19, 2020, 1,100 industrial export units with annual exports of 12 billion and 640 million dollars are operating in towns and industrial zones of the country.

In this regard, 62 export management companies (EMC) with $236 million in exports were identified in these zones and 72 export consortia with $ 352 million in exports were established.

A review of statistics shows that by the end of March 19, 2020, 23  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had been concluded with various countries in order to develop international cooperation between small and medium-sized industries.

Supporting the presence of 41,631 industrial units to participate in domestic and international exhibitions, as well as holding eight training courses and sending 176 managers of industrial units to Germany to get acquainted with the country's market, finding new markets, establishing long-term relationships with German companies and the development of economic relations between the two countries in cooperation with the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ), which led to a contract worth more than 180 million euros are other notable records that were obtained by the end of March 19, 2020.   207/205
