Reactions to US action in harassment against Iranian passenger plane

The dangerous action of two US fighters against an Iranian passenger plane in Syria on Thursday night has provoked reactions in recent hours.

Iran PressIran News: "Anyone who loves the lives of their leaders does not play with the lives of our passengers," wrote Hessam ul-Din Ashna, an adviser to the president on the harassment of US fighter jets for an Iranian passenger plane.

Garmsar MP Ardeshir Motahari also stated: "They want to provoke Iran by attacking the Iranian passenger plane, but they do not know that the Iranians are not only manufacturing good missiles, but they are also good chess players."

"Wait for firm revenge, but its time and place are with us. Iran knows what it is doing," he added.

"The attack by US-Israeli fighter jets on an Iranian airliner once again exposed the brutal identity of the attacking countries," another MP, Vali Ismaili, wrote on Twitter.

"This brutal act and intimidation against Iranian passengers will certainly not go unanswered," he said.

International lawyer Reza Nasri wrote on his Twitter account: "Two years ago, the United States and the Israeli lobby launched a calculated legal and psychological campaign against Mahan, in order to insinuate that the main function of this airliner is" military" and it could, therefore, be a legitimate military goal - to put pressure on Iran. Today, they are taking advantage of this planning."

Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi, referring to the incident for the Mahan Air bound for Beirut, said, "The details of the incident are under investigation and after completing the information, the necessary political and legal measures will be taken."

Iranian mission in the United Nations will soon send a letter to the Security Council and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, expressing its opposition to the threat posed against Mahan passenger plane.

After Iran's Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht-Ravanchi made an emergency phone call to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday and stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran would hold the United States responsible for any incident happening to the Iranian plane on its way back, it is reported that Iranian mission in UN will soon send a letter of protest and details of the incident to this organization.
