The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Russia on Tuesday for talks with his Russian counterpart and for delivering a message from Hassan Rouhani to Vladimir Putin.

Iran PressEurope: According to Iran press, this is the 30th visit of Mohammad Javad Zarif as head of Iran’s diplomatic apparatus and his third visit in the last six months.

In addition to conveying Rouhani's message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Iranian Foreign Minister will hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, over regional and bilateral developments, five years after the signing of the nuclear deal called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Regarding Iran-Russia relations in the recent period, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia Kazem Jalali said: "Russia, as a supporter of the JCPOA, has recently opposed the IAEA Board of Governors resolution and Iran and Russia are in full solidarity against the US inhumane and unilateral sanctions."

According to him, in the light of the will of the leaders and high officials of the two countries, bilateral relations to serve common interests and help for providing ensure regional and international security is a growing trend.  104/207
