The Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi stressed the need to improve the performance of border crossings with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Middle East: Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi told during a meeting of the National Security Council on Sunday that the Iraqi government had made great efforts to prevent corrupt people from misusing the border crossings and had plans to expand them.

Referring to Turkey's continued aggression on Iraqi airspace and territory, al-Kazemi stressed the need to continue diplomatic talks with Turkey to stop the attacks, saying such aggression was an attack on Iraqi sovereignty and it damages the strong relations between the two countries.

The Iraqi prime minister on Saturday reopened the Mandali (Soomar) border crossing for trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran after being closed for several months due to the corona outbreak.
