Tehran (IP): The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari today in her presser said, so far, 257,303 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 219,993 of total infected people have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari said on Sunday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 12 in the country, 2,186 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 257,303."

1,499 of the new patients were hospitalized.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 194 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 12,829 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated, "3,359 patients are in intensive care units."

"So far, around 1,972,207 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Khorasan Razavi West Azerbaijan, and Mazandaran Provinces are in the red.

The provinces of Tehran, Fars, Kerman, Alborz, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer-Ahmad

 Golestan, Boushehr, Hormozgan, and East Azerbaijan are on alert.
