Mashhad (IP) - With the re-announcement of red alarm in the Iranian metropolis of Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi province, northeastern Iran, the use of masks in public places became mandatory.

Iran PressIran News: With the re-outbreak of the coronavirus in the Iranian cities, the disinfection of Mashhad's public places and passages came on agenda, and some restaurants and gardens were closed until further notice. 

Iran's Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education emphasizes the use of masks and the implementation of a social distance plan to prevent infection with coronavirus.

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari on Saturday in her presser said that so far, 255,117 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 217,666 of total infected people have recovered and discharged so far.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, East Azerbaijan, Hormozgan, Khorasan Razavi, and North Khorasan Province are in the red.
