Iran ready to cooperate Pakistan to confront border threats: Envoy

Pakistan (IP) - Iranian envoy to Pakistan announced Iran's decisive readiness to cooperate with the country in order to eliminate all security threats in the joint borders.

Iran Press/Asia: In response to some Pakistani media projections intending to create misunderstanding between Iran and Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Friday the expansion of relations between Tehran and Islamabad is certainly not pleasant to the ill-wishers and third parties.

"The friendly, stable, and fraternal relations between the two countries show that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the security of Pakistan as its security and strongly condemns any attempt to destabilize the neighboring country", Hosseini stressed.

He noted that the background of Iran's regional activities indicates its constructive role in generating, protecting, and ensuring regional security, which has been extended to fight against terrorist elements making the borders insecure.  

In recent days, some Pakistani media outlets have reported the misleading and suspicious confessions of a Pakistani criminal named Ozair Balouch, who is being imprisoned in Karachi due to serious crimes and claiming on alleged exchanging intelligence with Iranian security forces.
