Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf expressed his condolences to the Japanese government and people, as well as to the families of the victims over deadly floods and landslides in Japan.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, in a message to Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan. Tadamori Oshima, expressed his deepest condolences to the members of the parliament, the government and the people of Japan, and especially to the families of the victims of recent deadly floods.

In another message addressed to Akiko Santo, a member of the House of Councillors of the National Diet, Ghalibaf expressed his condolences, noting, "I am deeply saddened due to the loss of a number of Japanese people in the floods and landslides in Kyushu island. 

At least 51 people have died, while 13 others were reported missing in Japan’s southern island of Kyushu as devastating rains have caused flooding and landslides on Saturday.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe urged people to stay on “maximum alert”.
