Palestinian sources reported several rounds of Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling on the Gaza Strip.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to the Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, Palestinian sources said that the Israeli army carried out air and artillery attacks on the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening.

According to the Palestinian sources, the attacks were carried out in response to the launch of rockets from Gaza into the occupied territories.

The sources went on to say that the Israeli army targeted the training and observation positions of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades (IQB), the military arm of Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in various parts of the Gaza Strip. No casualties have been reported.

The Israeli army claimed that Hamas fired three rockets from the Gaza Strip into the occupied territories earlier.
