Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Iran's Parliament stressed power production with a focus on economic power as a need to resist against enemies.

Iran PressIran News: In his speech on Sunday, in the parliament (Majlis), Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized the key role of the foreign ministry in boosting economic power, advising the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to become the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. 

"Corona's case did cause problems in our currency exchanges, but now we have the opportunity to make up, and God willing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be more active in border cooperation and trade, than ever before," Qalibaf explained. 

Elsewhere in his speech, the speaker referred to the recent anti-Iran resolution adopted by the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Board of Governors and emphasized that the Iranian lawmakers never let the IAEA complement the enemies' intelligence puzzle with its unleashed inspections.  

He then pointed to Iran's international nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and called on the ministry of foreign affairs to implement and continue the scale back its nuclear commitments to the JCPOA under the very international agreement. 212/ 104
