Tehran (IP)- Researchers at an Iranian knowledge-based company have achieved the technology of virus detection devices and made a small-scale laboratory sample.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian academic Omid Shoaei, a member of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Tehran and CEO of Nikro Tak Rezvan Company, which is located in the Science and Technology Park of this university, said on Wednesday: The researchers performed a small-scale laboratory test on the device, as well as conceptual design of the Real-time PCR (real-time polymerase chain reaction) that could detect viral and biological diseases such as HIV, hepatitis, and corona in a short time (less than one hour).

He continued: "This project has been judged in prestigious scientific journals and has been accepted and published in the form of an article."

Shoaei continued: "We are looking for the help of investors so that we can mass-produce this advanced device in its full form and enter the domestic and foreign markets."

He announced that most of the famous manufacturers of this device in the world are American companies and said: "So far, no domestic company has succeeded in producing it and the devices available in the country are imported."

Shoaei announced the price of an imported device at between 50 and 100,000 dollars and said: "Due to the sanctions, it is very difficult to import it."
