Tehran (IP) - In a meeting to receive credentials of the new ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea "Han Sung-o" on Wednesday, President Hassan Rouhani said that Iran and N.Korea must stand stronger than ever against the US.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a meeting to receive credentials of the new ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea "Han Sung-o" on Wednesday, President Hassan Rouhani called the US a common enemy of the two countries and added: "The US officials have always oppressed nations such as Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, imposing sanctions on them that we must resist against more strong than ever."

For his part, the new ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea stressed the need to work for the development of relations between the two countries, saying that confronting American avarice and hegemony is a common ground between the two countries.

The United States has imposed unilateral sanctions on North Korea that restrict more economic activities and target a larger list of individuals and businesses than the UN sanctions influencing people's daily life in that country.
