Tehran (IP) - In a video conference, the Iranian and Chinese foreign ministers discussed developments in bilateral relations, the intensification of US unilateralism, and the latest situation in the UN Security Council.

Iran Press/Iran news: Praising China's successful performance in the fight against Coronavirus, in the conference, Mohammad Javad Zarif Iran's Foreign Minister said that the mutual support of the two nations was a new opportunity to show empathy and appreciation for the help of the Chinese government and people.

Referring to the comprehensive strategic relations between the two countries, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed hope that a comprehensive cooperation document would be signed soon between the two countries.

He also suggested that special facilities be provided for the businessmen of the two countries to travel in coronavirus conditions.

Zarif also condemned the involvement of the United States and some Western countries in China's internal affairs, saying the move undermined international stability.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers of the two countries criticized America's bullying and unilateralism, expressing their strong support for multilateralism and the principles of international law.

The Chinese Foreign Minister also thanked Iran for its sympathy and assistance to the Chinese people in the fight against the coronavirus and welcomed the proposals for the development and facilitation of trade relations.

"These proposals, especially the mutual facilitation of trade, will be quickly examined," he said.
