Tehran (IP) – Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami reportedly said that the ministry has on its agenda to shift to active defense policy, as well as renew the defense industry, and cooperate with scientific sectors in the country.

Iran PressIran news: The Spokesman for the Parliament's Presiding Board Mohammad Hossein Farhangi who reported Iran's Minister of Defence Brigadier General Amir Hatami's speech on the parliament's Tuesday close session said: "according to the Iran's Ministry of Defence, military equipment and products are produced in order to confront the enemies' threats."

Farhangi quoted General Hatami saying that the livelihood matters of the armed forces are on top of the government's agenda.

Iran has extensively achieved self-sufficiency in defence equipment production through indigenous knowledge and in this regard has brought to the scene state of the art technology.
