No incident can deteriorate Iran-Afghanistan ties: Afghan Ambassador

Tehran (IP) - Afghan Ambassador to Tehran Abdolghafor Lival has said that Iran-Afghanistan ties are important for both sides and a car crash incident should not deteriorate the two neighboring countries' historical relations.

Iran PressIran News: Following a car crash in Iran, Yazd city carrying Afghan nationals, Afghan ambassador to Tehran who traveled to Yazd Province said: "We believe that human traffickers are the cause of the incident."

He said: "Yazd governing officials have promised to pursue the case seriously and the guilty driver will be identified and handed over to the judicial authorities."

Lival stated Iran-Afghanistan ties are important for both sides and these incidents should not deteriorate the two neighboring countries' historical relations. "We appreciate the Islamic Republic of Iran hosting Afghan refugees, especially in Yazd, who are studying there," the Afghanistan ambassador to Tehran continued.

The ambassador has also praised a number of Afghan immigrants' employment and how they have been cared for in Yazd.

In the car crash, three people were killed and eight others were injured when the car collided with the guardrail. 

Abdolghafor Lival, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's ambassador to Tehran has visited those who injured in the Yazd car crash yesterday on hospital. 205/207
