Hezbollah's secretary-general described Imam Khomeini's move to mark the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as 'International Quds Day' an auspicious step and his legacy for the Islamic world.

Iran Press/Middle East: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Wednesday that announcing the International Quds Day in Iran, Imam Khomeini showed that the country is committed to the cause of Palestine and Jihad for its liberation, and will never forget Palestine.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah The action of some countries in trying to normalize relations with the Zionist regime has not been the true face of the Islamic Ummah; Rather, those countries and individuals have already had a weak position in this regard, and today they are showing their true face against Palestine.

Hezbollah's secretary-general said Zionist officials were disappointed with the defeat of their allies on several fronts in the region.

"All the seditions and conspiracies to tear Muslims apart have failed. Communication and contact among Muslims underscore that efforts to isolate Palestine and its cause are futile," he stated.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Hezbollah is firmly committed to the Palestinian cause and has always stood by the Palestinian people and resistance groups on the path to Palestinian liberation.

He called the late General Haj Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC, a real martyr of Al-Quds, saying, "This year, International Quds Day has lost one of its supporters and fighters."

He described Haj Qassem Soleimani as one of the pillars of the Resistance in the region, saying, "He is the great martyr of Al-Quds and we will continue his path and promise him that we will fulfill his dreams and we will take a step in this direction."

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah continued: "We are doing our best, we are removing obstacles, we are uniting, we are expressing solidarity and we are creating the conditions. Today, we are preparing all the ground for the realization of that day; The day will come when, God willing, we will pray together in Al-Aqsa Mosque."

"During his honorable and blessed life, Hajj Qassem tried to make the Resistance in all the countries of the region strong and ready and able to make such a day possible; The day we are all waiting for it to come," he said.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah reiterated, "Today, we are closer to the liberation of Palestine and Al-Quds. Hezbollah will adhere firmly to the Palestinian issue."
