Tehran (IP) - Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health announced that so far, 110,767 people in the country have definitely been infected with the Coronavirus, and 88,357of total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Tuesday 12 May about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus said, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to May 12 in the country, 1,481 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 110,767."

Fortunately, 88,357 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Jahanpour added.

The head of the Ministry of Public Relations Center said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 48 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 6,733 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

He stated, "2,713 patients are in a critical condition."

"So far, 615,477 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokesman said.
