Ilam (IP) - The beautiful Arghavan (Purple) Valley is located one kilometer north of Ilam city and on the way from Ilam province to Kermanshah, western Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: With its purple flowering tree and a variety of other species, including oaks in the spring, the valley has eye-catching views to tourists but this year, due to the outbreak of corona, it does not host nature-lovers.

Coinciding with the spring season, and especially with the beginning of Ordibehest (Starting on Aril 20 in Persian calendar), when the purple trees bloom, the beauty of the purple valley doubles.

Due to the good vegetation cover and diversity, the beekeeping industry is also flourishing in this region. Arghavan

Valley is about 170 hectares and is one of the protected areas in the Ilam province.

There are rivers and some water springs located in Arghavan Valley. The visitors can also benefit from the water springs during their trip and spend a few hours of their time in this natural environment.
