Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Health Ministry director of strategic planning has said that about 40 billion tomans have been provided to medical sciences universities through public donations to fight COVID-19.

Iran PressIran News: Seyyed Kamel Taqavinejad holds a presser on the latest measures taken to contain the Coronavirus.

During the press conference, Seyyed Kamel Taqavinejad appreciated those who are involved in controlling the Coronavirus, noting: "About 40 billion tomans have been provided to medical sciences universities through public donations to fight COVID-19."

Health Ministry director of strategic planning said: “We are receiving a $ 50 million loan from the World Bank, which has been prepared and initial work is underway with the agencies."

"Preparations for a € 130 million loan from the Islamic Development Bank is underway to purchase medical equipment, "Taqavinejad added.

He added, "So far, the Planning and Budget Organization has allocated 3,050 billion tomans at the end of the year 1398 (starting on March 21, 2019) to fight the Coronavirus

Taqavinejad said that to answer people's trust in the medical staff, the stock exchange has been implemented in two phases. In Corona One, shares are bought and given to the university, and in Corona Two, the shares are given to the individual, but the profits are given to the University of Medical Sciences. 

According to Taqavinejad, a reward of 200 billion tomans has been allocated to those who were in the fight against Corona by the order of the President.
