The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus infection in Germany has risen by 2,082, bringing the total death toll to more than 170 people.

Iran Press/Europe:  Germany's number of confirmed coronavirus infections has risen by 2,082 to 125,098, data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases showed on Tuesday, marking the fourth decline in the number of new cases after four days of increases.

The reported death from the Coronavirus infection toll has risen by 170 to 2,969.

Several Germans died abroad in connection with a corona infection, and according to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute.

it is wildly believed that around half of those infected so far are now recovered. The actual number is likely to be much higher because numerous mild or symptom-free courses were not recorded by tests at all.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is facing pressure to ease the lockdown; as time runs out on emergency measures to limit the outbreak in Germany, the country’s National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina recommended a gradual relaxing of restrictions, as long as new infections stabilize and personal hygiene measures are maintained.

However, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, urged caution over moves to lift some lockdown conditions. He said much was still unknown about the behavior of the virus and emphasized that case finding, testing and isolating were still crucial to controlling the outbreak.

Also in the UK, health officials announced as death toll top 11000, the foreign secretary, Dominic Raab, said it was “still far too early” to change the advice, adding that the UK would be getting ahead of itself if ministers relaxed restrictions before medical experts advised them to.

“There will come a time in the future where we can talk about relaxation or transition, but we are not there now,” he said. 212/ 104
