President orders to accelerate process of 1m Toman credit for households

Tehran (IP) - In a phone conversation with the Head of Plan and Budget Organization, President Hassan Rouhani emphasized accelerating the implementation of the 1million-toman credit plan for eligible households.

Iran Press/Iran news: Noting that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has underlined the issue in his Thursday remarks, Rouhani underscored the need to accelerate support plans for less-privileged classes.

President Rouhani also referred to the government's plans to reduce the economic consequences of shutting down some businesses during coronavirus outbreak.

During the phone call, Rouhani emphasized accelerating the implementation of the 1million-toman credit plan for eligible households.

Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht presented a report on the implementation process of the plan, as well as the construction projects that need to be completed by the end of the Iranian year of 1399 (starting on March 21).

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Monday, April 6 has stepped up the administration’s response to the coronavirus outbreak by announcing plans to give more than 23 million households emergency financial aid.

Addressing a meeting of the administration’s economic headquarters to address the consequences of COVID-19 pandemic, President Rouhani said the government has agreed to allocate around 25 trillion tomans to nearly all Iranian families receiving monthly cash subsidies.
